The interesting part of this battery is not the 320Ah. It is the pair of communication ports on the side, and the short, specific list of systems LiTime says they talk to. This page sets out what LiTime publishes, what it claims, what others report, and what nobody has confirmed.

This page is about the LiTime LiHeat 12V 320Ah ComFlex LiFePO4 battery, SKU L12V320-200-HBC-4-W190. It is not about LiTime's older 12V 320Ah battery, which looks similar in search results and on marketplaces but does not have the ComFlex CAN and RS485 communication system.

What the LiTime ComFlex 320Ah is

It is a single 12.8V LiFePO4 battery rated at 320Ah, which LiTime publishes as 4,096Wh of energy, with a 200A battery management system, built-in self-heating and — the distinguishing feature — hardware communication ports that let the battery report to and take instruction from other equipment rather than sitting silently on the bus.

LiTime announced it on 8 September 2026 and RV News covered the launch the following day. It is a production product, on sale direct from LiTime in the United States, not an announcement waiting for a ship date.

What "ComFlex" means

ComFlex is LiTime's name for a communication-enabled product line, not the name of this one battery. It spans several models at different voltages and capacities, built on what LiTime calls its T5.0 communication platform. This 320Ah model is the one aimed squarely at RV and marine use.

Because the line covers several models, specifications do not carry across it. Nothing on this page is borrowed from the 100Ah ComFlex models at 12V, 24V or 48V; every figure here is published for this exact 320Ah unit unless it says otherwise.

ComFlex 320Ah vs the older LiTime 320Ah

This matters more than it should, because the two batteries share a brand, a voltage and a capacity, and general searches for "LiTime 320Ah" return both. Buying the wrong one means paying for a battery that cannot do the thing this page is about.

  • The older 320Ah model is a Bluetooth-only battery. It reports to a phone app and nothing else. No CAN port, no RS485 port, no RV-C, no NMEA 2000, no Victron integration.
  • The ComFlex 320Ah keeps Bluetooth and adds the CAN and RS485 hardware ports, and with them the documented integrations described below.
  • How to tell them apart: check for the SKU L12V320-200-HBC-4-W190, and check the listing for explicit CAN and RS485 wording. A listing that only mentions Bluetooth is the older battery, whatever the capacity says.

Cycle life is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee. LiTime states approximately 4,000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge, 6,000 at 80% and 15,000 at 60%. Those are LiTime's numbers under LiTime's assumptions; no independent verification of them exists, and real service life depends on temperature, charge rate and how the bank is used.

CAN, RS485 and Bluetooth

The battery carries two wired communication ports, CAN and RS485, alongside Bluetooth 5.0. LiTime describes these as running on its T5.0 communication platform.

The distinction is worth being clear about. Bluetooth gives a phone app a view of the battery: state of charge, voltage, power, history, alerts and firmware updates. The wired ports are what let the battery join an existing system's own network, so its data appears on the equipment already installed in the vehicle or boat rather than only on a phone.

Exactly which systems LiTime identifies

LiTime names four things, and this page will not extend the list beyond them:

  • RV-C — compatible RV-C systems, so battery data reaches an RV touch panel.
  • NMEA 2000 — compatible marine networks, so status reaches a multifunction display or chartplotter.
  • Victron — Cerbo GX devices, VictronConnect and the VRM Portal. LiTime documents DVCC charge-parameter control over the Cerbo GX CAN connection on the sibling 24V ComFlex model.
  • LiTime's own RS485 display — native support for LiTime's RS485 protocol, giving battery status and discharge control from a dedicated screen.

What the connection shows and controls

Where an integration is in place, LiTime documents state of charge, voltage, current and power, temperature, and protection or fault alarms being carried to the connected system. On Victron specifically, LiTime documents charge-parameter control as well, meaning the link is not purely a display feed in that configuration.

LiTime does not publish which data fields appear on which panel, so what actually shows up on a specific RV-C touchscreen or chartplotter is a question for LiTime or the panel maker rather than something this page can answer.

What is not confirmed compatible

LiTime describes support for Xantrex, AIMS and Go Power protocols as customisable over the air. That is an extensibility statement, not confirmed out-of-the-box compatibility, and the two should not be confused. Anyone buying on the strength of one of those names should confirm with LiTime what is actually supported today for this model, on which firmware.

Beyond the four named integrations above, no specific inverter, inverter/charger, converter or solar charge controller is documented as compatible with the 320Ah ComFlex. Absence of documentation is not the same as incompatibility — it simply means nobody has published it.

Third-party reported, and specifically about other models. Owners on the DIY Solar Forum have described difficulty getting Victron Cerbo communication working as expected with earlier 48V ComFlex batteries. Those reports concern different products, they do not establish a fault or an incompatibility in this 12V 320Ah model, and they are not evidence about it. They are worth knowing about only as a reason to confirm exact communication requirements before building a system around the feature.

Is it a drop-in RV replacement?

LiTime does not publish a standard BCI group size for this battery or make a universal drop-in claim, and neither will we. Its own comparisons are about size and weight — lighter than three 100Ah lead-acid batteries, and a smaller footprint than a typical 12V 300Ah lithium unit — which is a packaging argument, not a fitment promise.

Before assuming a swap, these need checking:

  • The battery bay's internal dimensions against 14.49 × 7.44 × 10.04 inches, including cable clearance
  • Terminal type and cable lug fit against M8 × 16mm terminals, and terminal orientation in the bay
  • Whether the converter can charge to a lithium profile, or has a lithium setting at all
  • Inverter/charger charge-profile settings and low-voltage cutoffs
  • Solar charge controller profile and absorption settings
  • Alternator charging arrangement, including whether a DC-DC charger is required
  • Fusing and cable sizing appropriate to the higher current a lithium bank can deliver

These are checks, not instructions. Electrical work on an RV should be planned with the equipment manufacturers' documentation and, where appropriate, a qualified installer. Charging requirements

LiTime publishes constant-current/constant-voltage charging at 14.4V ±0.2V, with a recommended charge current of 64A and a maximum continuous charge current of 200A. That is a lithium charging profile, and a charger set for flooded, AGM or gel lead-acid will not deliver it correctly.

Existing converters, alternator arrangements, solar controllers and inverter/chargers are not automatically suitable. Some have a lithium setting, some need replacing, and some need additional equipment. LiTime lists a LiFePO4 charger, solar, alternator or generator as charging sources, which is a statement about sources rather than a guarantee about whatever is currently installed.

Self-heating vs low-temperature cutoff

These are two different features and are often written about as if they were one.

Low-temperature charging cutoff is protection. LiTime publishes an automatic charge cutoff at 0°C with recovery at 5°C: below freezing the battery refuses charge, because charging cold cells damages them. Discharge is separately cut off at -20°C. Protection stops something happening; it does not make the battery usable in the cold.

LiHeat self-heating is the opposite: it warms the cells so charging becomes possible. LiTime states an activation range of -20°C to 5°C and a warm-up of roughly 60 to 80 minutes from -10°C, or 90 to 110 minutes from -20°C. Those are manufacturer figures. The practical implication is that cold-weather charging is not instant — heating draws energy and takes time before charge current flows.

Parallel and series configurations

LiTime publishes two limits. 4P4S without communication means up to four batteries in parallel and four in series — a bank of up to sixteen, wired conventionally, each battery managing itself independently. 16P1S with communication means up to sixteen batteries in parallel in a single 12V string, linked over the communication bus so the bank behaves as one system, with a button press on any battery able to switch the whole bank on or off.

What LiTime does not publish is the hardware side of that bus: which cables, whether a hub is needed, the connector pinout, or whether the bus requires termination. Those are unknown, and a large communicating bank should be specified with LiTime rather than assumed.

Capacity in practical use

The figures below are illustrative arithmetic from the published 4,096Wh nominal capacity, not measured runtimes and not a promise. They assume roughly 85% of nominal energy is realistically available after inverter and conversion losses — about 3,480Wh — and they ignore temperature, age, simultaneous loads and how hard the inverter is working.

  • A 60W 12V compressor fridge cycling at roughly 30% duty draws around 430Wh a day — several days' worth on paper
  • A 700W residential refrigerator cycling at roughly 30% duty is around 5,000Wh a day — more than this battery holds
  • A 1,300W air conditioner drawing continuously would exceed two and a half hours only in theory, and the 2,560W continuous output ceiling matters as much as capacity here
  • Lights, fans, water pump and device charging on a typical weekend, at roughly 500Wh a day, is a multi-day proposition

Safety and installation considerations

LiTime publishes an IP65 rating, an ABS enclosure, a 200A BMS and FCC, CE, RoHS and UN38.3 certifications. No UL certification is published for this model.

A 320Ah lithium bank can deliver very high fault current, so overcurrent protection, cable sizing and secure mounting are not optional details. LiTime's own manual is the authority on orientation, mounting and fusing for this battery, and an RV electrical installation should follow it alongside the documentation for the charging equipment. This page deliberately does not provide wiring instructions.

Comparison context

Buyers at this size generally cross-shop Battle Born, Epoch, SOK and Renogy, and LiTime's own marketing puts the ComFlex against Battle Born, Epoch and Renogy directly. What is worth saying is narrow: those brands compete on capacity, price, support and warranty, while the ComFlex's distinguishing feature is wired communication with a documented set of systems. If that integration is not something you will use, the comparison comes back to ordinary considerations and this battery has no automatic advantage.
